Cameron Casey’s Neuromodulation Service

Dr. Cameron Casey, an alumnus of the Pediatric Neuromodulation Lab (PNL), recently hosted an open house for the Waisman Center’s new Neuromodulation Service. After completing his postdoctoral training with the PNL, Dr. Casey was hired to launch and manage this new research service at UW-Madison.

The Neuromodulation Service provides access to noninvasive brain-stimulation technology and the guidance to use it safely and effectively. These services make noninvasive brain stimulation techniques, such as transcranial magnetic stimulation, (TMS) more accessible to researchers across the university. Neuromodulation techniques, including TMS, have potential for studying the brain and new therapeutics by non-invasively altering brain function for healthier brain outcomes. This service acts as a centralized point of access to neuromodulation, supporting researchers at the Waisman center and beyond in integrating these tools into their own research.
