About me: Combining my over 30-year clinical career as a Pediatric Physical Therapist with a PhD in Rehabilitation Science and Neuroscience, I embrace the potential for new interventions to advance pediatric outcomes and the continued striking need for pediatric neurologic research at the highest level.
What motivates me: My exciting position as faculty at the University of Wisconsin allows me to continue my research development and combine my clinical experience with research collaborations and trainees. Since joining the faculty in 2021, we have launched new research in pediatric neuroplasticity and neurorehabilitation interventions. Our research targets the use of non-invasive brain stimulation in combination with behavioral therapies with the aim to forge new frontiers and optimize outcomes during childhood for improved function throughout the lifespan. What motivates me the most is the opportunity to work with children, adults and families together.
