Julia Schiller
Position title: Doctor of Physical Therapy Student
Address:
2021 - 2023
About me: I graduated with a degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin in May 2020, and am currently a first-year student in their Doctor of Physical Therapy program. My main clinical interests include stroke, vestibular, and pediatric rehabilitation, and hope to specialize after completing my doctorate.
What motivates me: After working as a physical therapy aide at UW Hospital and the American Family Children’s Hospital for three years, I was able to see the monumental impact physical therapists make in acute care. In the Gillick Lab, I hope to further explore the impact of early physical therapy interventions on neural plasticity and recovery. Through collaboration with other members of the lab and participants’ family members, I look forward to contributing to the remarkable care the Gillick lab provides for children.
