Biography
About Me: I am an undergraduate student at UW-Madison originally from Minnesota. I am pursuing
a degree in neurobiology with plans to attend medical school. I hope to become a
pediatric neurologist and work with children who may be having neurological challenges
affecting their lives.
What motivates me: I am motivated by my desire to learn and one day have an impact on our understanding
of brain development and function. I want to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to
help people who have issues with the brain that may be causing them hardships in life. I
am motivated to reach this goal after watching my grandfather live with Alzheimer’s, my
grandmother survive a brain tumor, and now watching her struggle with dementia. After
seeing just how impactful injuries, diseases, and/or abnormalities in the brain can have
on peoples lives, I have gained a deep desire to help those affected to improve their
quality of life to the greatest extent possible.
