Marissa Gavioli, BS

About me: I graduated with a degree in Neurobiology from the University of Wisconsin Madison in 2019 and am a first-year Doctor of Physical Therapy student at UW Madison. I am passionate about working with the pediatric population and fascinated with the complexity of the brain!

What motivates me: Having worked as a clinical researcher and a pediatric therapy aide, I am passionate about both research and working with the pediatric population, specifically children with cerebral palsy. I am so excited to combine these two interests while working in the Gillick lab! I am interested in learning more about how noninvasive brain stimulation can impact neuroplasticity as well as identifying biomarkers to allow for early diagnosis of cerebral palsy. I am motivated by the opportunity to make an impact on not only the children we work with, but future children as well.
