Daniel McKee PT, DPT, PCS

Position title: Behavioral Assessment Specialist

About Me: I am a Pediatric Physical Therapist working at American Family Children’s Hospital in the NICU, PICU, general care, and inpatient rehabilitation. After receiving my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Marymount University in 2020, I began my career working in pediatric outpatient and early intervention settings. I then went on to complete my pediatric residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in affiliation with The George Washington University in 2022 and became a Pediatric Clinical Specialist in 2023. Previously, while on faculty at GWU I enjoyed participating in research, as well as adjunct teaching the pediatric course of the GWU DPT program. I am excited to now be apart of an amazing team here at the PNLab to help pave new and exciting discoveries into the world of pediatrics.

What motivates me: I started my path to pediatrics as a caregiver for a child with cerebral palsy for 3+ years during grad school and learned first hand how rewarding, challenging, and scary it can be to raise a child with a disability. This experience created a strong desire to improve the lives of infants and children and their families through a family- centered approach. As a clinician first I am dedicated to link research to practice to improve patient outcomes, and find opportunities of growth, development, and collaboration.
