Kate Konieczka, BS

About me: I graduated from UW-Madison in 2023 with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. I am passionate about research related to movement and neurocognitive disorders and have taken two gap years to explore these topics further before heading back to school to hopefully earn my DPT.

What motivates me: Throughout my time as an undergrad, I had the opportunity to be involved in research related to Multiple Sclerosis, coordination, and prosthetics/orthotics and fell in love with research during this time. I’ve always dreamed of becoming a physical therapist and hope to one day combine these two fields. Since graduating in 2023, I have worked in clinical research and was drawn to the Gillick Lab because I would be able to explore areas of research that I hope to one day incorporate into clinical practice as well as work with children and their families!
